В ближайшем будущем на астру стоит ждать только новые 6x MT и 5х MT:
The next-generation five- and six-speed gearboxes feature numerous revisions to internals and the shifter mechanism. According to Opel, the gearboxes have been benchmarked against competitor offerings and deliver smoother shift quality; they are currently being rolled out in the ADAM, Corsa, Meriva, Mokka, Astra, Antara, Zafira and Insignia models with engines exceeding 130 Nm (95 lb.-ft.) of torque.
For small and sub-compact vehicles powered by engines with up to 235 Nm (173 lb.-ft.) of torque, an all-new six-speed gearbox has been developed that is significantly lighter than similar transmissions while incorporating many of the “modifications from the next-generation units”.

If it is at all like a VW DSG/dual-clutch, then it signifies that GM has elected to follow VW, Ford, Mazda, and others into the dual-clutch automated-manual realm — which would be a first for The General.
We’ve reached out to Opel for more details about the automated manual gearbox, and will update this page as soon as we hear back with more details.

For the ADAM and Corsa, GM-Opel is developing a new automated manual transmission. The new unit offers sequential-style gear shifting, supports start/stop functionality, and has five-speed automatic operation.
Currently, these are the only details released about the unit.
Очевидно, что ВСЁ, что там упомянуто - автоматы, и 5-ти и 6-ти и 8-ми ступенчатые. И Изитроник тоже в некотором смысле автомат.

The New Generation of Automated Manual Transmissions (AMT's)
Our QISS system delivers improvements to the new generation of AMT's where the gears can be shifted smoothly without interrupting the engine's power output (full power shift). The smoothness of the gear shift and the ability to deliver "full power shift" are the major advantage of QISS over other AMTs. A further benefit of this Next Generation AMT is that the gears can be shifted fully automatically, or semi-automatically, or even manually, using manual gearbox components with minor changes to mass production tooling. The car maker can simply choose the control system to manage the transmission in whatever way suits their particular need for any specific product.

With numerous revisions to internals and the shifter mechanism, Opel’s next generation five and six-speed gearboxes have been benchmarked against competitor offerings for superior shift quality. They are now being rolled out for ADAM, Corsa, Meriva, Mokka, Astra, Antara, Zafira and Insignia models with engines exceeding 130 Nm of torque.
For small and sub-compact vehicles, with engines rated up to 235 Nm maximum torque, Opel has designed an all-new six-speed gearbox. It is significantly lighter than similar gearboxes and incorporates many of the modifications from the next generation units.
For the ADAM and Corsa, a new automated manual transmission offering sequential-style gear shifting and start/stop functionality, as well as five-speed automatic operation, is under development.
In the longer term, improvements to Opel’s current generation six-speed automatic transmission will be followed by the debut of an all-new, eight-speed transmission. The wider gear spread will enable an average improvement in fuel economy of more than three percent.

а новые гидрики будут 8-скоростные неизвестно когда, мей би в 2016 , а может и не мейби

Да и не конструируется Шкода полностью под себя, насколько я помню. А идет какими-то пакетами... Да и плюшек этих на шкоде в России имхо не будет.
Во, наш самолетный тролль даже прятаться перестал, полностью на свой стиль перешел. Кажется всем уже очевидно, что Фиолетовый БоинХ - это один тролль под разными масками. Почему его не банят не понятно, ведь правила едины для всех.
